Internet & Telephone LLC acquired Airnet Connect Communications (Portsmouth, New Hampshire) in September of 2002. This acquisition empowers Internet & Telephone to expand the reach of its wireless network from northern Massachusetts to Portsmouth, NH.
Internet & Telephone was founded by Merrimack Valley entrepreneurs Paul Cissel and Pete Peterson in April, 2002. With the acquisition of Airnet Connect Communications, Internet & Telephone became the largest wireless Internet Service Provider (ISP) in New Hampshire with a coverage area of more than 10,000 potential data clients.
The Airnet office at Heritage Avenue office has been closed, and Airnet relocated its New Hampshire operations to an Internet collocation facility at the Pease Tradeport in Portsmouth. Sean Cutler, the lead engineer for Airnet, will continue in that role with the new company.
Internet & Telephone is a local provider of voice and data communication services and
is headquartered in Methuen, MA. Its engineers, voice switch, and Collocation Center are located at the Pease Tradeport in Portsmouth. Its Merrimack Valley Network Operations Center is located in Methuen.
