Internet & Telephone LLC Has Acquired Russet Communications

This acquisition dramatically expands Internet & Telephone’s wireless network coverage area, extending it from Maine to the Merrimack valley and establishing Internet & Telephone as the largest ISP in the region, serving more than 3,500 voice and data clients.

Internet & Telephone, LLC announced acquired Russet Communications of Lawrence, MA and its subsidiary, wireless Internet provider, Whiz Wireless in September 2005. The merger dramatically increased Internet & Telephone's wireless network, extending its reach from Maine to the Merrimack Valley. Russet Communications and Whiz Wireless clients can now take advantage of a product spectrum that includes Internet service, local phone service, and long distance service.

This acquisition provides Internet & Telephone business customers with the highest speed backbone in the region, allowing us to improve our network and offer more communications options to clients throughout New England. Internet & Telephone is headquartered in Methuen, MA. Its engineers, voice switch, and Collocation Center are located at the Pease Tradeport in Portsmouth. Its Merrimack Valley Network Operations Center is located in Methuen.
