Internet & Telephone, LLC acquired NECOM Solutions of Wilmington, MA in January 2013. The acquisition strengthens Internet & Telephone’s product offerings and increases its employee base. NECOM clients can now take advantage of a product spectrum that includes Managed IT Services, Comcast Internet service, local phone service, and long distance service.
NECOM Solutions was founded in 1979 as one of the first telephone systems integrators in Northern Massachusetts. NECOM has served more than 2,500 clients located throughout Greater Boston and New Hampshire for over 30 years. This acquisition will give clients more services, more technology solutions and more options with the same high levels of performance, reliability and support that they have come to expect from Internet & Telephone.
Internet & Telephone was founded by Merrimack Valley entrepreneurs Paul Cissel and Pete Peterson in April, 2002. With the completion of the NECOM Solutions acquisition, Internet & Telephone topped 5,000 voice and data clients. Internet & Telephone retained all full-time NECOM personnel, and Howard J. Britt, Jr. the founder, President and CEO of NECOM moved into the role of providing sales and service to existing NECOM customers.
